1. IN-DEPTH RESEARCH AND MAKE OUTLINES

The first step is to research the topic on which you will write deeply. Yes, no matter how difficult the topic is? It would help if you stayed calm before putting your fingers on the laptop. Don’t be hurry to write. Make sure to have a cup of coffee or tea while researching your topic. There are so many websites that can help you to research.

  •  Top 10 results of google on that particular topic

After in-depth research, you need to outline what you will write. These outlines help you to stick to your topic throughout the writing. The outlines should be well-written for the SEO-optimized content and have incorporated primary and secondary keywords. How much time do you need to spend on in-depth-researching? Yes, it all depends upon the experience and the topic itself. If you are a beginner, you need to spend more time researching. On the other hand, if you are an expert level, you must spend quite enough time researching. This will help you to write well-optimized and well-structured content. 

As keywords are an important part of blog post optimization. While researching, you need to pay much attention to them. Make a Helping or secondary keywords. These keywords will be the pillar of your content. 

After outlining, you need to keep the writing tone in your mind. Is it informational or commercial? If you clearly describe the purpose of what your Blogpost is about? Then the chances of clicks will be increased. 

The title will be brief and should contain a word limit of 50 to 65.

instead of www.aliyasheikh.com/how-to-write-SEO-optimized-blog-post-to-rank-higher-on-google/

The URL will be short and only contain the main keyword separate by (-). Try to remove all unnecessary words from it. You can customize your URL according to your needs. 

Url is also a factor to rank on google. But according to google surveys and studies, it is not a big factor to consider. But as we should have it in our checklist of SEO-optimized blog posts.

  4. Main Body or content of the article

Yes, it is time to start your writing.

Introduction

Start your writing with the introduction.

The introduction is all about what the user will get in this article. The introduction should have the main or focusing keyword. Try to make it crystal clear for the user to know the purpose of the blog post. The first 3 to 5 seconds are very important. According to the Google survey, the user read the introduction for the 3 seconds and then decided to read more. It bounces back. If your introduction is engaging and interesting, the reader will continue reading. Otherwise, they will go back and click on another search result. This will increase the bounce result and create a bad impression in the eye of google. 

Headings

Optimize your headings. The actual formate of the writing is H1>H2>H3…..H6.

The H1 Heading will use only one time in an entire blog post. The main content is under the H2 Heading, and if the main need to be further split into subheadings, then you can use H3 and H4. The Heading is used to split the content, and bold is used to emphasize the word or keyphrase. Many people do not clearly distinguish between bold content and Heading use. 

The headings should have help keywords like secondary keywords that are the foundation of your entire content. The subheadings should be related to the main Heading or title. 

What is the difference between the H1 and title? There is no such big difference; you must have your title in H1 Format. The title is actually in H1 Format.

The internal link will help you to index your more pages. It helps the google crawler index more pages. You need to link your Blogpost with only those Blogpost that is highly relevant and belong to the same category. Not those who are irrelevant and don’t belong to the same category. 

The external links are also very important. Try to link the website that is ranking higher on google on the same topic.

Search out your main keyword in the search box; you will find relevant keywords in the search result. Moreover, the human mind is the best tool ever. 

Content length

Content length matters a lot. The length of your content should be the average of the top 10 results of the google search on your main keyword. But you need to provide all the necessary information. Try to optimize the content length. As I mentioned above, don’t use lengthy paragraphs. Keep your conversion short but deep. This is meaningless if you write a lengthy article and your visitor or reader doesn’t get anything positive from it. 

According to the google survey, long-form content with meaningful context do best in search result. Users like to keep reading interesting information or engaging content and share it on their social media accounts. 

Media Optimization

Yes, only content optimization alone doesn’t work properly. You need to add the relevant media as well. Media optimization is also a very important part of SEO optimization. Sometimes, your images rank first on Google, then your content. You need to add the images with appropriate Alt text and Captions. Make sure to use the keywords in Alt text and the caption.
